Maybe, maybe not. I once put a new central heating unit in a property I knew was going to be for sale. Not only got better heating bills but improved the saleability of the property.

You're probably right though. Clever headline Artman[:D]

NEXT YEAR THE SUNOCO REFINERY IS GOING TO SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY!

It is going through a complete turnaround. They are going to have 2,000 workers through dozens of outside firms cleaning and updating every piece of equipment. It has been in the planning for many years.

It won't be down long.
Power is nothing till you use it.

No, there are not new ones being built so we must make the best of having the worst.....

Both my dad and grandfather worked there for a combined total of 60 years.  The 'turnaround' is done every year to two years.  They may bring in outside work, but the regular workers will be pulling 'turnaround' shifts, which typically means double and in some cases triple shifting.  My dad would have to do that for a whole month sometimes.  Kinda like fireman hours in some instances.

Major turnarounds are done every two years or so, and the Tulsa Sunoco facility did one in March of 2005.

This one is bigger and is a complete turnaround.
Power is nothing till you use it.

I wish they would move!!! FAR FAR AWAY! Then Tulsa might be a liveable place again!

Can't wait to see how the state patty cakes this one like Judge Claire Egan did...

Double A

[qoute]Regulations prohibit the refinery from emitting "visible smoke" from its stacks, Elder said.

"The particles can cause breathing difficulties, particularly for people with pre-existing respiratory conditions"[/qoute]

Interesting to learn that visible smoke from the stacks are indicative of violations. I've seen the stacks smoke recently, could there be news of additional violations coming down the pike?

This pic shows steam leaks (white) and a blast of diesel exhaust (dark) floating upward from the cherry picker, IMO. [:)]
