It's not breaking news that Tulsa has a "White" side a "Black" side a "Hispanic" area and so on. Of course these are generalities based on the majority of the population in the areas. I truly believe that each area has its own uniqueness's and special offerings to the Tulsa community as a whole.

I often hear people complain about the clear lines of separation. Why can't we take what some people deem as "bad" and create something positive.

Look at NYC, San Francisco, etc.. These large cities have China Town, Little Italy, etc.. These communities within a larger community aren't looked down as segregated, but they are celebrated for the restaurants, shops, markets, and culture.

I know we are not on scale as those cities, but why can't the same concept work here? The area which we consider "Hispanic" around Lewis & Utica from Admiral to 11th could thrive if they would host a Hispanic Festival, host open-air markets, etc...

Same thing for North Tulsa. The residents could build on the already popular Juneteenth and really show off the Greenwood area.

These are just thoughts off the top of my head.
