Title: More Randi Miller
Post by: patric on May 03, 2008, 01:07:56 PM
She wants to do more of what she's been doing to Tulsa.
Her re-election announcement is in Sand Springs Sunday May 4 at the community center.

It would be dumb of me to scoff at Randi's chances, simply because she's a Republican and Tulsa County is an overwhelmingly Republican county.

But as Bill LaFortune proved, even GOP voters have their limits on bad performance. It wouldn't surprise me if Karen Keith wins by up to 10 points in the general election.

And, the Miller-ORU Campaign Scandel hasn't even come to the top yet.

She'll have lots of campaign $$.

She helped deliver the tax gravy to the hungry tax hogs during Di-Vision 2025:  $100,000,000's and $100,000,000's of NEW TAX DOLLARS to line the pockets of the Rooneys, Flints, Lortons and Kaiser and their cabal of cronies.

And, in 2006, she was hand-picked by the local power establishment to serve as the GOP Mayoral Spoiler to prevent Mad-Dog Chris Medlock from defeating "Dead-Man Walking" incumbent Mayor Bill-Me MisFortunate.

When 59% of your fellow Republicans prefer someone else, Bill, you're a a Dead-man Walking (Politically).

Randi tried but couldn't deliver another $282 Million in NEW taxes for the Kaiser River Tax, but that's only their First Foray for a new tax to move sand around in our slow, lazy Prairie River.  They'll keep coming back to soften us up for this new tax....

Just wait.  You'll see....

I sincerely hope her big toe didn't rot off from dunking in the Arkansas River during the Kaiser River Tax publicity campaign.

After all, it's not to be used as a PRIMARY exposure, i.e. NO SWIMMING or BATHING in the Arkansas River.

CAUTION everyone.  Only SECONDARY exposure to Arkansas River water is recommended.

As to the next County Commissioner Election, I'd sooner vote for a dead Yellow Dog than Randi "Randy" Miller.

Did I hear anyone say "Pool-Boy" Buchert??

More suntan oil, anyone?

I'm still mad at the Bell's thing - not necessarily because of Bell's being closed, but at the way it was done and the lack of an alternative.

That "not just a parking lot" still looks like a parking lot to me.  One with a nice entrance, but still...  (I also realize this was not Randy alone, but no one stuck their neck out to stop it that I can see).

Occasionally Bear, you make some sense. But you lose credibility when you attack using what amounts to, lies. Some prefer to call it half truth, some prefer spin, some prefer to call it perception, but you will say anything to put down your beloved oligarchy and tax vampires. Where would you be without them?

What part of the river are you referring to? The part the rowing crew has used for 30 years? The part that flows out of Keystone lake for 10miles to Sand Springs where no industrial or runoff issues exist?
Please refer to the health department studies that show the water is not suitable for primary contact? (hint: there are none).

You're so good at informing us all of the "real" story and how the public is always hoodwinked. Why don't you tell us the real story about the signs warning against primary contact and why they were installed?

You don't have to denigrate Miller and everything she was involved in just to destroy her re-election bid. The way you go on one wonders if she may have refused you pool privileges.[;)]

Before Karen announced for office there were rumors circulating about Sally Bell possibly running against Randi in the GOP primary.

Another member on here had told me he might consider a GOP run as well.

Randi is going to have a pretty well-funded campaign.  FB is a bit out there with his accusations as usual, but there are definitely people who would like to see Ms. Miller remain in office.

It still doesn't justify slash and burn. What will keep him from going after Keith or Bell should they come out for river development?

Full disclosure: I am registered to a different party than Miller. And I have no pool privileges.

I've heard that too. I wouldn't be surprised if there are multiple candidates from both parties running for this seat.

County Commissioner is a good job.

Sure it did.  She got into the race really late.

Remember?

Randi got into the race because it looked like Mr. Medlock had a decent chance of knocking off the safe candidate of the local power establishment, the disappointing GOP incumbent Mayor Bill MisFortunate.

The risk was very great to the local power establishment that a non-establishment candidate might actually win the Mayorship.

Then, their control over appointments to such rich TAX honey pots as TMUA, TAIT, TDA, TAA, TARE, etc. would be threatened.

And someone might just start looking into those sweet-heart deal Road Building contracts.

Their Tri-angulation strategy helped peel off a substantial amount of Medlock's core constituency centered in the ORU community, and also in West Tulsa.

Also coincidentally Ms. Miller's core constituency.  How FORTUNATE!

In a Winner-take-All Primary, a minor plurality of 41% of the vote gave the Primary election to Mayor MisFortunate.

Medlock came in a respectable Second.

Randi Miller brought her rear up, er rather, brought up the rear.

The local power establishment didn't mind Chatty Kathy Taylor eventually winning.  She was after all a perfectly safe bet for them, as well.

Another NON-Reformer.

Leaving things safely the way they are.  Because, the local ruling power establishment LIKES things just the way they are.

Also better to for the local gentry to rape, ruin and run things like they've done for the past 50+ years.

Meet the New Boss; SAME as the Old Boss.

YEAH!

On the Cox Cable 24 T-Gov Scroll between programs, they show scroll of still photos of notable local iconic places....

Woodward Park.

The Zoo.

BELL's Amusement Park.........

Might as well show photos of the Airview and Riverside Drive-Ins, too.

Along with Renberg's, Harrington's, Vandever's, Looboyle's, Woolf Bros., SEVCO, etc.

And, the iconic:  The Stables Lounge.

Alas, now finally "covered" by a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.

Another truly Tulsa Landmark gone.

Sniff-sniff.

WHAT lies?  Name ONE.

It was admitted by the promoters of the Kaiser River Tax that only SECONDARY contact with Arkansas River Water was recommended.

NO Swimming!  No bathing!

A few drops splashed on your skins from froth and foam:  Okay.

Nothing more.

As to Karen Keith or Mrs. Bell being for River Development = RIVER TAXES, I'll cross that Proverbial bridge when we arrive there.

I do know that during the Di-Vision 2025 Sales Tax Grab Promotion, Ms. Karen Keith was one of our tax-payer supported mouthpieces promoting this new Billion Dollar Tax.  "Assistant to Mayor LaFortunate".

On the City Payroll, with the job of PROMOTING passage of higher taxes.

What a deal!

With her local TV newscaster background, I'm sure she'd be equally happy promoting a new River Sales Tax, her County Commissioner candidacy, or VIGO dog food with equal fervor and vigor.

I know it is hard for a Bear to have any comprehension. Put down the honey pot and read closely.

Chris Medlock had no chance to win the Mayor's race. Randi Miller did not run for Mayor just to be a spoiler for Chris Medlock. Not everything is a conspiracy from the "good old boys".

I think that honey has turned to mead.

Yup. Medlock couldn't break more than 40 percent in the mayor's race. Or any other race, for that matter, after 2004.

It's hard to win any election when you keep sh*tting in your own nest.

It's also hard to win over people when you have the maturity of a five-year-old.

Just ask Gwen Freeman.

Randy Miller was entered as a "Spoiler" in the 2006 GOP Mayoral primary.

She entered late because a coven of our local power establishment got a bit worried that Mad-Dog Medlock might, just MIGHT knock off safe Establishment selection Mayor 3$Bill MisFortunate.

Medlock certainly wasn't a shoo-in.  But, he had a decent chance of winning the GOP mayoral primary.

With Miller entered as a SPOILER, that split Medlock's base, and LAFORTUNE won with a whopping 41% of the GOP vote, and became a certified Dead Man Walking (politically).

Apparently you're only interested in the truth when it matches your opinions and beliefs. You imply the water is dangerous for contact because of the signs. It implies that there is testing to back that up. Where is it? Details might be nice as to location, type, source and toxicity. I'm sure the rowing crew would like to know.

Here is the truth as I know it. The sign doesn't say No Swimming. It refers to the danger of being in waters that:

1. Are not tested regularly by authorities for bacterial safety. Curiously, neither is Keystone Lake, Skiatook or hundreds of other bodies of water throughout the state. There are a few govt. testers travelling the state and some volunteers working for non profits, but there efforts would hardly justify swimming anywhere.

2. Do not have lifeguards. Again neither do swimming areas on any of the lakes and rivers of Ok.

3. Do not have rescue vehicles readily available. There are a few locally housed at firestations but they usually only recover dead bodies. Nice big red boat though with exciting lights and stuff. If the water is high enough they use the new bananna boat and tow it out for rescue. That is if you can hold on long enough.

4. Are not insured against death or injury other than the taxpayers pockets. Only if these few, meaningless signs are posted, can the RPA, the county and the city defend themselves against someone who decides to sue because 1-3 are deficient. Remember the kiddie playground that killed the little ones a few years ago? They aren't going to get caught again.

And lastly, ever notice that these signs are not all over the Arkansas river or on other rivers and lakes? They didn't care if the bush people swam in it, they don't care if the homeless jump in it outside of the view of others. The last thing cosmopolite Tulsa wants is dirty little street urchins, homeless, and the lower classes swimming out in public exposing us to ridicule and lawsuits. It has the dual effect of keeping others from safely useing the river for a variety of purposes. This is an effort to keep the public from safely using its own assets. Something I would have thought you would strongly question.
