Title: Mother's Day vacuum
Post by: RecycleMichael on May 02, 2008, 08:55:17 AM
There was a sticker on the front page of my home-delivered Tulsa World today promoting a Mother's Day special on an Oreck vaccum.

If I bought my mother (or my wife) a vacuum for Mother's day, she would kill me, burn my body, and use the vacuum to clean up the ashes.

I'm getting mine a fridge.

We buy each other "needed" items for mother's day, V day, fathers day etc.  Otherwise you end up with tons of crap you don't need nor want.  I got a chainsaw for father's day.  Actually, I got the right to buy a chainsaw.

Seems like a good system to us.

I bought mine an iPhone.

Depending on your level of nerdiness, that is either a need or a want.

I'm going to get my wife an Iron.  Actually she already has one, I'm just going to get her another as a hint.

I may not be able to post here again after Mother's day.  It's hard to type with broken fingers.

But it's one of those Oreck's.  Famous for quality and weighs only 8 pds.  Everytime Mom has to drag the vacuum around she'll be blessing you for getting her something so easy to manage.

In fact I want one.  Please.  Come on.  Get me one.

A Dyson will make you sick with how much it picks up. We have the the ball version for Animals and I think could have made many sweaters with all of the hair that I have collected with the dyson.

She might like it better if you slap an Apple sticker on the side and tell her it's an "iRon."

Nice.  I assume an iRon plays music while you use it?

I have had an Old School metal top Sanitaire janitorial vacuum for 10 years.  It is a beast and the thing won't die.
