Title: Is it time for Lori Fullbright to leave Channel 6?
Post by: mrburns918 on May 01, 2008, 12:18:35 PM
Did anyone see the report Lori Fullbright did about the owner trying to poison a patron? I can't believe channel 6 let this broadcast. She basically interviewed a man making an allegation that he was poisoned because he saw the owner not caring for her child and called her ex husband to let him know about it. He filed charges and the DA dismissed it. Then a civil suit pops up and Lori runs with it without even checking out the full story.

I have no affiliation with the restaurant or people involved. I am just amazed how she could put such a story on without much regard that could affect a business in a negative way.

I'm not sure but I think he has affidavits from employees that substantiate his claims that something happened, and that's going to be persuasive evidence.

Yes, I heard that too. They were fired from Lava one for drug use and the other because he propositioned a customer. Not sure if it matters, but sounds like an ax to grind. Plus the guy suing is the owner's ex husbands best friend. The ex and the owner are involved in a custody battle. Smells like a rat to me.

Now how would you know that, having "no affiliation"?

Fire the messenger? She's just reporting on a civil suit. Its fair game. It fits in her overall crime reporter status. Now if you want to criticize her failure to show a balanced report, well I agree. It looked pretty one sided.

I've seen Lori Fulbright on the tube-comes off like local talent with a national market 'tude.

Actually, they tried to call Brooke and merely got a response from her lawyer saying it was ridiculous.

Employee 1, Drug User:  I don't know
Employee 2, Propositioning:  Not surprising, given who it is.  But that's not why he was fired.  He was suing Brooke last year for wrongful termination.  I don't know how it turned out.

Given all I've heard about her, she seems more than just a bit off, and Visine doesn't seem too far out of her capabilities.

"They were fired from Lava one for drug use and the other because he propositioned a customer."

Aren't these the industry standard fringe benefits of being a waiter?

Civil suit=/=crime.

The report was very unbalanced.

Fulbright really kicks a lot of dirt up; last year it was the story where she broke into local schools.  Thanks for giving the crazies ideas, Lori.
