With severe weather likely again today, it's a good time to remind you about Frank's WeatherCall, a new service from NewsChannel 8 to keep you safe.
Frank's WeatherCall allows you to sign up for weather alerts on your phone, pager and e-mail. But unlike ordinary alerts, this system uses a mapping feature that only sends you warnings when your exact location is threatened.
When a warning is issued for your location, you will receive a voice alert from NewsChannel 8 Chief Meteorologist Frank Mitchell giving you information on the warning and what you should do.
It's something that could be a life saver in the event of a severe weather outbreak and costs just 50 cents a month.
Sounds like another way to fleece the public.
Frank Mitchell is a dingleberry.....
50c?
You can get that for free plenty of other places like KRMG.
I get my weather updates by looking out the window.
Frank loves to get in front of that camera.
