Here is something to think about if you are at work and you act to prevent a threat on your life:

Yeah, absolutely ridiculous.
I delivered pizza years ago, in some of our less desirable neighborhoods at that. If I was to do it again, I wouldn't do so for a company that wouldn't let me carry. To this day I've got a ball bat in the back of my truck because of a habit of it that I picked up back then. Had a few close calls, but managed to avoid ever getting robbed because I kept my eyes open and got the hell out of there if things didn't seem right. More dangerous then working a graveyard shift at a conviniece store.
Obviously a big nationwide chain is going to fire an employee who uses a firearm while on the job, regardless of the circumstances.
On the flip side, I for one, if ever put in a situation where I had to do this work to support my family or pay the bills, would never consider delivering pizzas unarmed.
I have a concealed carry permit, and it wouldn't be something I would discuss with the pizza manager, I would just go about my job with a concealed firearm until, God forbid, I actually had to use it to defend my life against some crazy meth addict over a bag of pizza money.
After having to do so, though, I wouldn't even bother to show up for work the next day. Faceless corporations do not care about employees, they care about liabilities.
I delivered pizzas in Stillwater when I went to school there. Worst thing I ever had to worry about back then was people wanting to tip me with beer, weed, or being invited to "stay and party awhile".
Definitely wouldn't do it these days without some heat.
Thats why they call it concealed carry. You cant see it.If you use it and get fired at least you are still alive.
