Looks like District 4 is in for another lame duck period - Gomez is a Go-nowhere--
Let's see how often he bothers to show up - anywhere

i wouldn't say lame duck.  Based on this guy's background I'd say we are pretty screwed.

Well, true, too true. The only good thing is his term will be short with the new charter change.

Just for the record, Maria lost due to the idiots running her campaign and her grandstanding irrational opposition to 1804 and enforcing our immigration laws, not because of conservation districts.

did the contribution reports ever come out?  Or is TW convienently not reporting them this year?

I had a summary of the pre-election reports on BatesLine within an hour of the filing deadline. The World waited until two days later to print a story on the reports.

The final ethics reports are due on May 12th. The pre-election reports did not include any contributions or expenditures from the last two weeks of the campaign; those will be in the May 12th report.

My only problem with Turner is that he voted against the city ordinance that required police to verify the legal status of anyone that is arrested.(one of the few times I actually watched a city council meeting on T-gov).I voted for him before, but because of that one event I refuse to vote for him again.

those reports were way too granular.  I'm looking for specific names.  I guess I have to wait a month.

The time to organize and recruit a candidate to run against him starts now. Any suggestions?

I'm willing to give Eric Gomez a chance while keeping in mind that the District 4 vote was relatively close -- not a blowout as was the case in Districts 8 and 9.

Gomez certainly came out strong for development after the election -- he is a sell out for the neighborhoods

which is why I want to see who contributed to his campaign.

I received campaign material from Eric Gomez prior to the election.  It was very much pro-infill for older neighborhoods.  Councilor Gomez was openly pro-development before the election.

The last D4 candidate forum before the election sponsored by Florence park(I believe) was videotaped. Anybody know if it will be posted on the internet? I like to see if his actions in office will match his answers on the campaign trail.

Gomez waffled quite abit saying he was pro infil while retaining the prevailing architecture. After election - pro development all the way - no restraints.

When and where did Eric Gomez waffle?  All of his statements I heard or read were consistently pro-development and pro-infill.
