I agree with everything except your apparent objection over the allegation that our government props up dictators. It is true that our government has supported some of the most despotic tyrants in the name of "freedom," but in reality, they were more to enforce the interests of certain corporations. Specifically, Batista in Cuba; Armas and Rios-Montt of Guatemala; Stroessner of Paraguay; and the somoza clan in Nicaragua-and I'm sure tehre are others. I'm patriotic, sure, but those are some pretty serious foreign policy blunders on our part.
