Why would we do that? Politics messes up good religion and vice-versa. Maybe a separate area just for religious discussion?

I second the motion.
The motion comes to a vote:
All in favor?
I!
All opposed?

We would do that because it is the nature of religious discussion to be largely non-constructive and I think it has the potential to clutter other topics that are of more interest to most people. The Politics Forum is largely comprised of topics that most TulsaNow users can avoid... and not really miss out on anything relevant.
Head in the sand religion!

Little world indeed....
What in the hell are you talking about?
I've never stuck my head in the sand in a religious discussion and by and large most TulsaNow users do not come here to discuss religion and national politics. Many of our users don't even wonder over to the Politics section for that very reason (that and you spam the hell out of it with blog links).
Yes, lots of heads in the sand refusing to want to know what's really happening outside of our little world in Tulsa....not me.
