Title: No country for old men

Oh...this is a movie that won best picture last night.

I thought it was political commentary about John McCain's age.

Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained by living a godly life.

Proverbs 16:31

The glory of the young is their strength; the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old.

Proverbs 20:29

The godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted into the LORD 's own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.

Psalm 92:12-14

It was a really great movie, actually.  Though bloody and amazingly bleak.  Javier Bardem got all the attention for his loony psycho killer role, but Tommy Lee Jones was the real star, in my opinion.

And McCain would be the older president ever elected, right?

Wow!  I'm getting more splendorous every day!

"Honey, that's not grey hair.  It's splendor!"

I hadn't seen a single movie nominated for best picture, although that generally isn't unusual considering they nominate a lot of crap 95% of the country never sees and the 5% that does watch it, never watches it again.

I see that the Bible's writers were trying to take the sting out of becoming geezers, too. Things never change.

What part of Proverbs has the "you kids get outta my lawn!" passage?

If I want to see a loony psycho killer, I'll watch Saw or American Psycho.

Either delusional or previewing the theft.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080226/ap_on_el_pr/bush_governors

Unless he plans on co-opting the government by FORCE, Shrub must be kidding!!! He is so out of touch with us regular folks, its really discouraging. But I cannot see the Repugs getting back control of anything!!!Not a country for old men.....
