Title: Someone forgot to turn on the philtower
Post by: sgrizzle on February 19, 2008, 08:37:16 AM
I was playing around with my camera this morning, noticed the philtower is apparently turned off. No exterior lights to speak of. Any ideas?

Also, here is what I took this morning:

Yeah. After I took all my sources images this morning, I found out my exposure settings weren't right.. so these aren't as good as they could be.

Just did this one too:

Depending on what time you took it, Philtower would have been off...

It seems that after 11pm or midnight they turn off the exterior lights.  Usually, the neon stays lit, though.  What time did you take the pics?

Wow, that's wayyyy too early for me.. :D

Also, probably why the lights were off.

Go before ~midnight and you'll have better luck.

I've tried it.  I like the result you are getting, much better than I've been able to achieve with QTPFS.

FDRTools is free and gives a good result too.  A bit clunky though.

When you have an extra $60 bucks, buy a copy of Photomatrix.  It's by far the best.
