TULSA, Okla. -- The former director of global logistics for Boeing Co.'s 787 program has been named as Tulsa's economic development director.

Mike Bunney will move to Tulsa from Everett, Washington, and will begin work with the city on March 3. He will receive a $125,000 annual salary.

The 55-year-old Bunney was raised in Tulsa and Nowata and has degrees from the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa. He retired from Boeing three weeks ago.

Bunney says he wanted the Tulsa job to perform public service for the community that he says gave him so much. He says his business career has allowed him to develop numerous national connections.

Bunney will replace Don Himelfarb, who resigned late last year.

all right!  He can turn tulsa into a giant plane!  The guy was a logistics director.  Suddenly he knows something about economic development?

How about hiring an economist.  I bet they know something about economic development.

^^  Now, now, inteller.....

Robert Nardelli(wunderkin of Home Depot) was the head of GE's "jet engine"? division.
Nardelli proved to have no rival in the systematic devaluation of the company...

No problems with the Board members bonus packages ..

his tenure was well rewarded... and now he is lining his vest with the feathers of another company.

This fellow "Mister Bunney" may be just what the Chamber would recommend.
