Title: Driving from Tulsa to Washington State
Post by: HoneySuckle on February 14, 2008, 02:21:15 PM
Has anyone made this trip before?

I am particularly interested in getting to Eatonville, Washington.  Not for me by the way, but an elderly lady who is getting someone to drive her out there.  They do not have a GPS system.

A friend I went to law school with drove from Tulsa to Bellingham, Washington (about an hour north on the other side of Seattle than Eatonville) on several occasions.  Usually it was a miserable 2 day drive.  A little less so at 3 days.

The last time he flew his brother to Tulsa, headed due West to the coast, and up Highway 1 for a 5 day trip that he said was really enjoyable.

This old woman thinks she's in for a nice little ride.  Thanks.

I made the trip with my mom when she moved back to Tulsa from Seattle.  I just remember that was the longest 3 days I've had in a while.  I did enjoy the scenery and added a lot to my shot glass collection.  I'm so used to Oklahoma and Texas it freaked me out when we passed through 3 states in a day.

From what I saw online about the route she will take, they're going through a part of Kanasa, Denver, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Oregon and then Washington!  I wouldn't want to make that drive in winter.
