I went by last Sunday and again yesterday.  Smoking deals.  I now have a scented candle for each room of the house. [;)]

Doesn't make much sense for Drug Warehouse and Med-X to be across the street from each other.

Drug Warehouse and Drug Mart (same company) are diagonally across from each other at 71st & sheridan and they are building a new Drug Warehouse at the same intersection.

P.S. Scented Candles? Got some barry white CD's on clearance too?

Med-X = Swinger Hut?

If they've got my prescription massage oil, I'm there in a flash.

Mays, Med-X, Drug Warehouse and Drug Mart are all owned by the same company, USA Drug.  After USA Drug bought the stores a few short years ago, they have been slowly closing some stores and merging others together.

USA Drug is also in Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, and their home state, Arkansas.

The last Drug Mart store (71st & Sheridan) will be closing soon and merged into the new Drug Warehouse (also 71st & Sheridan) once the new building is finished.

Inside rumor has it there is discussion of phasing out the Med-X name also and converting the remaining Med-X's (the poorer performing stores have slowly been closing over the past couple years) into Mays.

That means they will be moving two stores into that location since the drug warehouse on the same corner would move there too.

No kidding, right? I always dreaded working the lunch shift at St. Mikes that required me to be in that area at 10am. Because of all the drug stores there were throngs of blue hairs behind the wheels (but only just) of their huge buicks, lincolns, and cadillacs. It always made me nervous to be a motorist, and I had a few close calls. The fact that there was a beauty parlor a few doors down from St. Mikes did not help either! Haha.
