sacrificed to the downtown construction Gods.

And yes, lots of places to eat...I believe there's been a number of threads covering a multitude of tasty treats in Tulsa...or Tulsa's tasty treats

I specifically was looking for an upscale dinning experience for out of town guests prior to attending a PAC event. It was my hope to find something suitable without having to drive all over the city.

not really....a contributing factor yes but it is well known that wasn't all his problems.  a convienent excuse though.

as far as the chalkboard comment.  I think the real problem is a quality restaurant in that corner of town for companies to take clients to.  That was a MAJOR power lunch haunt.

Didn't Pomodori's partner restaurant Camerelli's close not long before that?

I don't remember Peoria being under construction..

I think so.

Speaking of defuct operations, did I hear that the owner of Kaz's Chophouse is in on a new venture where the old Embers used to be?

I wish him  luck.   I had my wedding reception at Caz's Chowhouse aprox 6 weeks ago and they did an outstanding job.    Nothing but compliments.

You mean the SoCo bar? Where they can't make up their mind if they want to be a sports bar or a music bar. Of course their whole sports theme sorta took a hit when we went there for the Jenks v. Union game and were told "we don't get the channel that is on." or when we went to watch an OU game and were told the same thing.

Food isn't bad....but make up your mind as to what you want your identity to be.

It was the kindest excuse.

I'm curious, does SoCo stand for South County?

There was not one owner of Kal's.  It was a partnership with several owners, Kal was mistakenly picked as a figurehead.  It's now Sunset Bar & Grill (or grill & bar).  VIP room still exists, that's a smoking room now.  No smoking in the main bar or restaurant area which suits me just fine.

I don't believe any of the Kal's/Sunset people have anyhting to do with SoCo other than one of the principal owners of the shopping center at 81st & Harvard being good friends with one of the former equity partners of Kal's.

If SoCo's know's what's good for them, they will avoid Kal like the plague.  Maybe he and Al Hashemi should partner up and see how quickly they could piss away another restaurant.

hahaha, yeah Kal made a good front man, but probably shouldn't be trusted with the coffers.
