Title: City progress on downtown building condemnation?
Post by: inteller on January 08, 2008, 10:50:49 AM
A while back the city was getting in the condemnation business on building owners that wouldn't fix up their places.  What ever happened to this great idea?  The Abundant life building still looks like ****.

The city recently toured the Abundant Life building and sent a strongly worded letter to the owner. Next step is to condemn it and fine owner $1000 (a week maybe?) in an effort to get them to bring it to acceptable standards. Same thing happened at the Tulsa Club 5th and Cincy, but I haven't seen any movement there either.

Drove by there, and from what I see, it looks more like a top-secret government installation rather than the former headquarters of an evangelist.

well, knowing now what we do about ORU, they probably wished they had never left that building.

carlton, what is 'recent'?  I head about that visit months ago.
