Title: Controlled Waste Inc. Any business dealings?
Post by: Aa5drvr on January 06, 2008, 11:50:41 AM
Not regarding trash pickup.
They hit my car several weeks ago.  Police cited them.  Since then, Im getting the runaround from their owner saying he needs a little more time "next week" is his answer.

Controlled Waste posted two make up days for Christmas and New Years since they schedule Tuesday / Friday service where I live. They did not come by either Saturday as listed on their invoice.

My wife called to complain last week about the first missed day and the CW rep was nasty and hateful. Nothing was done.

Then they didn't come by yesterday to make up for New Year's day either.

I am changing trash service next week after being a customer of Controlled Waste for 8 years.

Since CW can't keep their promises on trash pickup, do you think the owner is going to make damage to your car a priority?

Turn it into your insurance and let the agent/claims examiner handle it. Do you have their insurance information? Just contact their insurance company direct.

It doesn't sound like you personally are going to get anywhere with dealing with the company direct.

If they were definitely at fault, take them to small claims court.  If you dont want to file uninsured motorist with your own insurance company, go and get 2-3 different estimates.  Take those to court with you, you will get a judgment in your favor for the amount of the estimate plus court costs.

I did this exact thing, but I filed uninsured motorist.  It didnt count negatively against me though.  I sued for my deductible plus court costs.  He never did pay me anything, so I had to garnish his wages.
