Okay guys, help me out here. My husband suddenly asked for a remote control helicopter. I get the feeling one of his friends bought one and now he wants to have a toy too!lol
Anyway, been looking at the KBtoys and Toys R US sites to get some ideas.
Want something that could work indoors and outdoors. Saw some frail looking remote helis at Radio Shack (mosquito?) which fell apart on its first flight[:D] That one is a definite no-no.

One of my co-workers has an indoor helicopter. All I can recall is that he strongly advised buying a replacement parts kit along with the toy. Apparently, they offer a kit with all the commonly breakable parts.
I'll ask him about it tomorrow - if my notoriously fallible memory allows.
with all due respict, those are toys for little boys.
check out the RC ftorum at http://runryder.com/
For indoor helicopters, make sure you specify one that is radio controlled (not infrared) and counter-rotating propellors (for stability). You can find some really nice ones in the 60-80 range at hobbytown usa, et al.
Thanks a lot. Will check them out.
That link with injuries scared the heck out of me![:O]
