Title: Baked Salmon surpirse
Post by: citizen72 on October 25, 2007, 09:18:36 AM
Preparing a surprise dinner for my wife tonight. We are preparing to celebrate our thirtieth wedding anniversary.

Will be serving baked Salmon on cedar shingle as the main course. Need a really good sauce to go on that Salmon. Anyone have one to share that is relatively simple.

Thanks. I reviewed those and many sound really good. I was also hoping for some private recipes that one might particularly love.

Glad to see this wasn't a buffet horror story.

Surprise and any sort of meat in the same sentence gives me the heebee's....

Congrats on the 30 years.

Dill and Salmon go well together. Can make a simple zatziki with fresh yogurt or sour cream, diced red onion, fresh garlic, chopped fresh dill and diced fresh cucumber (remove the peel and seeds) salt and pepper.

I'm not a salmon fan, but my mother loves her grilled salmon with sweet chili garlic sauce, which you can buy at the Nam-Hai OR at SuperTarget by the ethnic foods.  They warm it in a saucepan with a little bit of butter and drizzle it on the salmon.  It is just a sweet, slightly spicy accent.

Update!!  Carlton I took your advise and did the Tzatziki using sour cream. She loved it and thank you so very much. Now, I have a nice sauce to use in the future. It is Greek as I found out.
