As I understand it, they provide free health, dental and mental health care for the Hispanic population.  No ID required.  No payment required.

I wish I had that!

They are currently on 21st and Garnett I believe.  They have a grant for about half a million paid for by you and I. . . and are seeking an additional 3 million for this building.  They expect to be funded by the end of the year.

I'm paying around $600 a month for my insurance.  Perhaps I will cancel and just show up here with my family and no ID.

Note to self:  Gotta get some tapes and learn spanish.

Are you sure its just for the Hispanic community? Or for anyone who needs it, including Hispanics? Had a friend get hurt a few years ago, he didnt have a lot of money and I took him to a place in the Garnett area. It was either that or the emergency room at one of the larger hospitals. Would have probably cost us all more there, not to mention make it so that those who need emergency help have to wait in line longer.  Have you ever been to one of the emergency rooms in one of the larger hospitals around town? It looks mostly like poor people who have had problems, often because they have waited too long for something minor that has now turned into something worse. Plus they use that instead of making an appointment with a doctor, most likely because they dont have a doctor. We all know how many poor people there are in this city. We heard how many of them voiced that they cant afford 3 dollars more a month for a river tax, they sure cant afford 600 dollars a month for medical insurance.

If you can pay 600 a month you arent indigent. Indigent definition...One who is poor and cannot afford basic neccessities of life like food, shelter and clothes.

The rendering is neat.  But having something which looks like a coroner's meat wagon out in the parking lot sure doesn't give a comforting image of free healthcare...

Northwest corner.  Used to be a bank there.  The bank was abandon and became a nice place for the homeless for a few years.

This proerty IS NOT and was never owned by TDA. TDA owns the SWC which is currently under contract for a drug store. This property is the NWC and is the former site of the Peoples Bank Drive Up bank.

A Drugstore will be sort of redundant ...

If the author of this Topic is correct..?
"A low cost medical facility..." They are almost certain to dispense prescriptions on site.

I think the Author verified in his response, directly above yours, that I was mistaken about the location.

Thank You for repeating it.!

Some people get hard of hearing as they age... I guess I am getting hard of reading.
