Via Flickr, some nice pictures one RSmart (//%22http://www.flickr.com/photos/rsmart/%22) has taken of the inside of the Mayo Hotel.  Nice!

Its heartbreaking to see the Grand Ballroom like that. Going to take a loot of work to get it back and done right. I think I heard that the people who are doing the hotel part of the Mayo will be putting back the staircase in the lobby. Hope they do it well. Havent ever found any pics of what that stairway looked like.

We had my high school prom in the Crystal Ballroom.

It used to be so elegant.

Ours was in one of the ballrooms too, don't remember which one. It was very cool. If I had known how special the place was at age 18 I would have taken more pics.
