A decent way to get transit info:

I inquired for directions between two Tulsa addresses.  (home and work)

"Your search for transit directions appears to be outside our current coverage area. Please consult our list of participating public transit agencies."

Then it asked me if I wanted driving directions.  Guess I'm SOL at this time.

Shhhh!  Don't tell anybody, but you could ride your bike!  It's the best kept secret in Tulsa.  The census said that the average commute is about 5 miles, meaning half of us live within easy biking distance.  Five miles converts to about 25-30 minutes at a very comfortable pace.

Shhhhh!  Don't tell!

Miles on Broken Arrow expressway, over the river on 244/75, down 244 onto 44 passed the tollgate...not a bicycle route for me.

Yeah, I know it's not for everyone, but even if we can't ride to work, it may be possible to walk or ride a bike to the grocery store or for other errands.  There's a 2 mile challenge right now, urging people to use a bike for trips of less than 2 miles.  Sadly, I don't often do that because I value my time too highly.

But there is some guy dressed up in a red and white costume who rides along the BA....

(ducking)

I would be happy to ride my bike, but my work does not have showers.  Add to that my son goes to school 1 mile in the opposite direction and the simple solution does not really apply.
