It's beyond that, Carl needs to go as well. [:(!]

Always wondered what would happen once Lamar left us and now we know. [:(]

Belichick tries to silence talk of spying scandal

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick refused to verbally acknowledge any wrongdoing or express any contrition when he held his regularly scheduled news conference Friday morning.

Faced with repeated questions about the improper use of sideline video equipment that drew a stiff penalty from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, Belichick steadfastly pointed to a statement released by the Patriots Thursday night in which he accepted full responsibility and apologized to everyone affected.

"It's over and we're moving on and all of my energy and focus is on the San Diego Chargers and the game Sunday night," said Belichick, who was fined the maximum $500,000. The team must pay an additional $250,000 and forfeit a first-round draft choice if, as expected, it reaches the playoffs. It must part with second- and third-round choices if it does not advance to postseason.

It is gonna be really difficult "believing" in any of the wins the Pats have or will get this year. It looked like they knew the defense ahead of time against the Chargers. The Chargers are not that bad of a team. The benefits of stealing defensive signs are not fully realized in the game where you stole the signs - it comes in future games with the same team.

This scandal really screws with the integrity of the games in which NE has won, and any near-future games.

Why do people have to screw with stuff? Really takes the fun out of watching/rooting.

I'm so glad to hear you say that, I thought I was the only one that noticed that. No matter what play the Chargers ran, the Pats were ready for them.

btw......the NFL destroyed the tapes yesterday: http://tinyurl.com/2buft7

Cowboys, Patriots -

"Somebody's "0" has got to go!"

I hope the Cowboys beat the living crap outta the Pats. I'm not a Cowboys fan - but as a Colts fan, and considering the cheating, a butt-whupping would be SO satisfying.

Big game this week - Colts and Patriots. I'm a little nervous for my Colts. Could be an embarrassing loss. I hope at least it will be close.

And I'm hoping for a shoot-out.

My Fantasy team includes Tom Brady, Reggie Wayne, and if I start him this week, Marvin Harrison.

Bring on the fireworks.

Helluva team - how can you lose?

Colts win this...I can't believe they are underdogs.

I will take an undefeated world champion at home getting points every time.

The best player on the field is Peyton. The best player often beats the better team.

Well, the last time I lost was to the team I'm playing this week.  They have Peyton Manning.

Granted my team didn't show up at all last time, and I had McNabb starting and Brady benched (week 2), but still.  Can't count anything as automatic, especially this one.

What a week in NFL football.
Giants beat the Patriots in the 2nd or 3rd best Superbowl ever.
More accusations of the "perfect" team cheating.
No class, absolutely no class.
