Title: Tulsa Talons win 2007 AFL2 Championship
Post by: RecycleMichael on August 25, 2007, 09:54:48 PM
I watched most of it on TV tonight and neither team had more than a seven point lead until the final minute. It was exciting and including three kickoff returns for touchdowns. It had the most combined points in a football game I ever heard of.

Final score,
Tulsa 73 - Scranton Wilkes Barre 66.

Tulsa played great. Congratulations and thanks for bringing back the trophy to Tulsa.

That was pretty cool.  I kind of expected Tulsa to lose.  Not sure why.  I went to a couple of home games this year, didn't follow them otherwise.

Most wins of any team in AF2 history (107-36).  8 seasons, 8 playoff appearances, and 2-0 in the Arena Cup.  That's pretty good, almost amazing.

I went to a few home games too... always fun.

Congrats to Tulsa.  Anytime something with Tulsa in the name does well it bodes well for the entire city.  Glad the arena thing looks like it will work out for them, it would not bode well at all if we gave our championship team the boot.

Caught the last part of the game on a tape-delay on some obscure sports channel on Directv.

Yes - it was an amazing game and a nail-biting ending. Great football! Thanks Talons!
