Title: Bixby Centennial Plaza
Post by: Rowdy on August 20, 2007, 03:25:50 PM
Does anyone know what types of businesses are scheduled (if any) to be slated to go into this area at 121st & Memorial?

121st?  I thought that is where the target is going in at.

On the Northwest corner of 121st & Memorial, it says "Bixby Centennial Plaza".  Perhaps there will be a Target but who has specific information on that?

This is what I have found so far.

I can see where there would be a Target if that's the case.  I wonder if it will be a Super Target. I would be surprised if it wasn't.

That's what I was thinking.  You have Target on one side and the Elementary school on the other.

Rumor has it that the anchor store there is going to be a Reasor's. We'll have to see how accurate my so called "In the know" source is.

So obviously there is no room for a Target and a Reasors.  I have heard rumors of both of these so which one?

Person I heard the Reasor's rumor from is the child of a Bixby City Council Member.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Reasor's would make more sense though with a Super Target already at 71st and Garnett and another one going in at Tulsa Hills soon.

Yeah I would agree on that.

with food pyramid at 101st and a super center at 111th....reasors wouldn't stand a snowballs chance in hell.  plus, the size of the anchor store far outstrips the size of any current reasors.  and the way reasors staffs they'd need to hire a 1000 workers to fill that store.  I swear, reasors is WAY to heavy on headcount (at least at the 71st/sheridan store)

I dunno....my source couldn't wait to call and tell me since I've been complaining about the need for a real grocery store in Bixby.

As a side note....I was in the Food Pyramid on 101st last week and it was ok, better than Albertson's, but I would still like to see something better IN Bixby....on the South Side of the river would be even better.

I'd like to see Sutherland's gone and that whole strip mall redone with a better grocer in there.
