Title: Reynolds Foundtation gives money to state Museums

I think this is "swing and a miss" in my book.

quote:

''Too many children in Oklahoma, especially the most rural areas, never have the opportunity to engage in the exciting experiential learning that comes from visiting first-rate discovery museums,''

Seems to me the rural areas are as well served or better to me:

quote:

The Tulsa member of the network is the Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium. Other members include the Omniplex Science Museum in Oklahoma City, Jasmine Moran Children's Museum in Seminole, Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse in Enid, and the Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton.

The TASM is pretty much in it's infancy. OKC, Enid, Lawton and Seminole are all better served than Tulsa. Is Tulsa Rural? The touring museum is a good idea but I think having a good museum in the major cities is just as important.
