Title: Downtown Tunnel Tour (self-guided)
Post by: hello on August 03, 2007, 09:22:19 AM
I would like to tour the downtown tunnels and lobbies of certain downtown buildings. Can I do this self guided or do I need to wait for a tour guide? Are there any restrictions placed on picture taking? Thanks!

Downtown Tulsa unlimited has a map here:

They are open during business hours and you can traverse them freely. The gym closed but I think there is still a coffee shop down there.

The tunnels are being rennovated, but they are still open.  This site has a more interactive map:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/losttulsa/62498547/in/set-1349166/

Nope.  Coffee shop is closed too.  (Presuming you were referring to the one in 320 S. Boston, and I can't think of any others in the tunnels)

Renovated?  Where?  When?  By whom?

Not sure if rennovated is the accurate term.  I'm not really sure the plan.  I just know there is construction occuring between MidContinent, Kennedy, and 320.

Huh.  I was just down there earlier this week.  Went from 320 to Kennedy to MidContinent.  Don't remember seeing any construction.

I was just down there.  The only thing going on was between 320 and the Kennedy, where they have a timber structure providing only a narrow passageway to get through.  Almost certainly related to the total reconstruction of Boston Ave directly overhead, and not to any "renovation" of the tunnels.
