Title: The need for anouther indoor gun range?
Post by: buddyloveusmc on July 29, 2007, 07:54:56 PM
Does Tulsa want another indoor range? One that is very fair priced and family oriented. Would the population support one? What is everyones opinion?

You tell us.

Since you are in the gun and bullet business, you probably already know the answer you are looking for.

Apparently RM knows more than I do.

I do not own a firearm but when I have used one, the target was the only thing that was safe. That being said, I have had occasion where I wish I did have one and would (obviously) need a lot more practice before getting one. From what I can tell, indoor practice opportunities seem somewhat limited around here. Kinda like if you could buy an XBOX, but the only place you could use it was at Best Buy. Every place I've seen has been a store that just happened to have a gun range. If there is an indoor gun range that isn't a store, I haven't seen it.

I've been out to Tulsa Firearms a few times with a friend who was a member.  I don't see how they can justify their fees.  My buddy let his membership run out the first year.  There is plenty of market for another range and with all the CCL's around here, I would hope these people would be doing time at a range.

There is a new indoor range out in Collinsville that is ran by much more friendly and knowledgeable folks. It's cheaper than Tulsa Firearms and much better from everything I've heard. I hope to check it out for myself this weekend.

Also, it is attached to a gun store - Medlocks Firearms.

Put it in far SE Tulsa and I am there, especially if its open late after I get off from night shift at work.

Put it in North Tulsa and I can use my practical skills to get my way back home to SE Tulsa.

I was under the impression that the North Side had several open gun ranges already.
