Who makes good calamari?
I ate at the new asian buffet place at 20th and Garnett the other night and saw raw squid on their sushi bar.
I was afraid to try it.

There's a Napoli's in BA? Didn't know that. We had our forum lunch at the one on the west side a month or so back. The calimari at that one is pretty good.
Yup, 145th and 81st, next to the pet store and Drug Warehouse. Really good food and great service. Don't know if it has anything to do with the West Tulsa restaurant or not. Mom and Pop joint run by an italian family.
If you go, try the sausage pizziaola. Wow. Their dinners are only about $6.50 and they have home-made dinner rolls that come out fresh and piping hot.
The kids meals are very reasonable (mickey-D prices) and ample.
Seem's latley I get these fried tarantula looking thingy's with my calamari rings[:P].
I can't help but think of some third world country where they serve fried spiders up like french frie's at Mc D's Do you eat those?
Yeah - I do eat those - that's what they've got at Napoli's. If you don't like calamari like that - don't go to Napoli's in BA for calamari.
Although you may want to go for the other food - good stuff.
Few of the traditional Italian restaurants in Krebs, Oklahoma serve up the fried treasure of the sea. Roseanne's also has Rocky Mountain Oysters deep fried.
I like Giacomo's in McAlester on Hwy 69, but Pete's is a fun time if you like lots and lots of pasta.
All of these are the best I have ever had in Oklahoma.

We eat at Napolis alot and we love everything on the menu.But.The calamari at Mekong restaurant,71st&Memorial,behind and west of ToysRuS has the best I've ever had.I moved here from San Fransisco and I thought no one would ever beat my fave calamari at BuccaDiBeppos.But this place has awesome,awesome food.The calamari's are expertly and lightly fried,almost delicate, with the best light sweet rice wine vinegar sauce on a bed of fresh greens and julienned carrots.And their springrolls(not like Vietnemese spring rolls,more like thinner lighter fried Chinese eggrolls)are to die for.The vermicelli noodle salads are my fave.
the person above me mentioned the Italian festival in McAlester.We've had the best times there.The food was great.Lots to see and do.Art,music,sugery snacks,etc.Nice people.we always come home with cheeses,bottled okra,pastas...me and my wife have both been going to Petes with our own families since we were both kids.She's the Choc beer fanatic tho.My dad used to drive us over there when we lived for a while in FtSmith too...Theres also an Italian festival worth the drive in Tontitown,just across the line into Arkansas on 420/turnpike.They start lining up outside the main building on the grounds on Saturday of the festival at 4p for the doors to open at 5p for the Italian dinners.Arts,crafts,amusement rides,music,alot of fun.I believe the festival there has been going on since the early 1900's...
