I see in the Tulsa Whirled today, two notable snippets on our former VP.

The Live Earth concert in Rio has been cancelled due to security concerns and his son got busted for drugs out in California.

Only good news seems to be that his son was driving a hybrid when he was stopped. [8D]

I don't really care if Al Gores son was poking smot or not.  I mean, it is newsworthy just because of who he is... but it doesnt effect my opinion of Al (or his son really).

I do not agree with Al's politics, but I kinda feel bad for him this week.  I think he thinks he is doing what he thinks is right, I think.  Which I think I respect. [;)]

Didn't change my opinion of Gore one bit.  I still think he's a dolt.  

I found it interesting that they happened to note in the newspaper story that his son was stopped while driving a Toyota Prius.  "He's a dope smoker, had numerous pills without a 'scrip, but he is doing his part for the enviornment." [}:)]

I find it funny and very convenient that it is considered hip for me to drive a 20,000 dollar, half engin-ed car.

Maybe he carpooled home from jail. You know, four people in a Maserati gets better gas mileage than one person in a hybrid.

Half-engined or two-engined?  That's what honks me off about those things.  Some people might say that a car with two drivetrains is a waste and poor use of finite resources.  I am certainly some of those people.
