Title: Ten Suggestions.
Post by: Rico on May 23, 2007, 09:21:01 AM
The newly appointed "Acting Chief of Police" has asked for each Tulsa Police Officer to submit 10 suggestions as to how the Department can be improved.

I think we have approximately 801 Police Officers....

That would be 8,010 suggestions.

thoughts, comments, opinions, etc.....

At least 814 suggestions will be "Pay Police More."  [;)]

At least he is TRYING something.  All levels can be improved I'm sure, from little things in operations, to equipment, to paperwork.  Perhaps some of the easy solutions will come to light and bigger problems can be revealed.

I think it is smart to engage the officers on the street in the conversation. The Tulsa Police force is highly educated and has hands-on experience in what the needs are.

Let's hope that the discussions lead to many good ideas that lower our crime rate.

I thought somebody said the guy was only interested in community based policing and was leaving the cops out of the solution?
