For the 23rd year, OK MOZART is honored to present its beloved resident orchestra--Amici New York--comprised of many of New York's finest soloists and ensemble musicians. The soloist for the evening is Oklahoma-born bassist and composer, Edgar Meyer. Hailed as the world's greatest double-bass virtuoso, Edgar Meyer is a revered composer and vibrant artist due to his ability to master multiple styles--from Bach to bluegrass! Hailed by the New York Times as "one of the finest conductors of her generation", JoAnn Falletta, Music Director of the Buffalo Philharmonic and Virginia Symphony, returns to OK MOZART as Guest Conductor for Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite with the OKM Resident Orchestra, Amici New York.
