I see they are finally starting to fill pot-holes around the city. Now my truck goes from bumping in and out of holes to bouncing over the asphalt patch they are filling the holes with.
Do we have anyone in Tulsa who knows how to properly fix the street problems?
One of the stations was doing a report on why we keep paying the same company top fix the roads if they are just falling apart again.
I think it's about becco.
How to fix a street in Tulsa, OK.
Wait until a rainy day. Throw a bunch of asphalt into a pothole filled with water (water and oil mix, right?) and let unsuspecting motorists do their part by driving over it. Next day, repeat.
one would think folks from out of town during the PGA will notice our deplorable roads more than a little paper sign on the corner. look for the quick fix!

Should we give up trying to improve Tulsa altogether because our roads are crap?
At least cleaning up the signs is a start. I can't do anything about potholes as a citizen, except complain, but I can pick up litter. That's something everyone should and can do. It's called civic pride.

Ahh, it wasn't becco.
Sad that the state is stuck being forced to give projects to someone who does bad work.

nah, they wont see the worst roads. Down by Cedar ridge most of those roads are in great shape. if the golf course was downtown i think visitors would think they stepped into a 3rd world country......actually I know 3rd world countries that have better roads.

Oh but you can Nellie, you can! Try Rowdy's new Adopt-a-Pothole program. Donate $50 and you can fill your own pothole and put your handprint in it along with your initials. The only problem is the severe burns you would receive after the hand imprint and dodging traffic. Other than that, I think I am on to something.
The expansion joints on the BA right as you merge coming off Hwy 75 north bound are awful. They need to close down that exit and the right lane for a day or so and really fix it.
I've raced on rutted dirt tracks which were smoother than that.
