It would be awesome, not just to have a large public feature, not just development on the river, but "in" the river like it is looks good.
Wonder what the insurance underwriters think about placing museum quality art near a river that can flood the building?

I'm sure in actuality the outcropping is more aesthetic than actual. The build up here by digging down there and instant peninsula.
Doubtful art is in any real danger.
Who is proposing this and what kind of art museum is it? Could this be the long-desired Modern Art Museum for Tulsa?
I thought the INCOQ master plan called for a children's museum on the river?
Double A - I believe you are correct that the INCOG plan includes a plan for a Children's Museum near the PSO plant on the west bank, but this link and plan is specifically mentioning an Art Museum. This is the first time I have heard of a proposed art museum on the river and I am curious about the details.
It's very possible this is a speculative drawing and some guy got all excited about his drawing and posted it on the internet to show off, not thinking the repurcussions that some people on the internet are from Oklahoma.
Nice rendering to be sure, but no hint that it is anything other than what someone with auto cad thought would be neat.
Exactly. I put that up wondering if anyone knew anything, whether it was for something real or not.
and I thank you for it, it's at least good to see someone with vision. Even if it doesn't come to fruition.
I think the Guggenheim needs a Midwest branch. [:)]

You know what they say... "The nose knows"[;)]
here is one for you.?
Met a Gentleman today that told me the City is planning some sort of "Historic Park" designation around the acquisition of the locomotive that is now at Mohawk... The "Historic Park" being the display arena for the choo-choo.
Doe the nose know anything about this?
Sniff sniff, whats this?
