As part of some housework, I need guttering, but in one place only. 35ft and two downspouts. I seem to have trouble getting a gutterer to give me the time of day.
Rain-tech was recommended but don't answer their phone.
Brad's prices seemed variable and a bit high.
Shew guttering gave me a decent price on the phone but is two weeks late for doing a written quote.
Anyone have any suggested gutterers?

I highly recommend Brad's or Raintech. If all else fails with those two, I imagine you can get it at Home Depot or Lowe's and have them install it, but their installers often leave much to be desired. In your case, since it's so simple, that might not be a big deal.
My husband ran into our guttering with a moving van while moving into our house. We called Auquatite and they came right out and fixed it for a really good price.
I had a similar problem down here in Texas. I was tired of not having an automatic sprinkler system, so in February, I called around asking for irrigation installers. Several no-shows and no returned calls later, I finally found someone to install one - after 8 weeks. The economy must be doing well - nobody needs the work these days.

That would cost more than my guttering...
Business must be REALLY good around here as most contractors we've called rarely get back to us or return calls. However, Brad's did return my call and did a good job.
Yeah, I need an area of brick on our house repointed (I think that's what you call cramming new mortar in between) and called several masons. The one that said he'd come by never did. I don't get it.
Still need the brick work done if anyone knows anyone.

WEll, in defense of most subcontractors such as masons, etc., they usually get a lot of work from a single builder or a group of builders, and it's in their best interest to pay more attention to regular clients with bigger jobs (like an entire house) than to spend a day going over and doing a small job with relatively low profit. I actually contracted an entire house a while back, and since we weren't regular clients, a lot of subs kept us on the back burner, which got old quick!

Concrete Specialists, an outfit around 4th and Peoria and one on 6th near Utica all did that at one time.
I would call Associated Builders and Contractors and get a few names of those firms from them.
