Your title is just plain wrong. As in not factual. The county still OWNS the fairgrounds.
I don't think the title's a problem--I knew what it was about.

How about the County votes to annex the city (government) now.
Turnabout is fair play.
The downside to this is in the taxes. You won't be able to save 3% on things purchased when going to the Home and Garden Show, Boat, Sport and Travel, and if Saied Music still does the Armory Piano Sales late in the year. I know that in the time that I worked at Saied in the mid 90's that was one of the best sales that they had, other than the TU and ORU sales.
So offer a 3 percent discount on the merchandise. It's not like there aren't crazy markups on pianos, anyway.
You think the business are gonna bail on the Tulsa State Fair and its 1 million visitors? I don't.
And my guess is that a large percentage of the sales at the often mentioned gun show aren't totaly legal anyway and are not taxed at all.

No, businesses won't bail because of this, they probably will offer "Fair Only Discount Prices" and still make a profit from the sale. The Saied Piano sale was after the fair in mid November and prices were discounted on top of the fact that you only paid county sales tax instead at that time I think the city tax was 7.50%, that was the draw of the sale. They would sell as many pianos and digital pianos in a Thursday thru Sunday sale there as they would over th a 4 month span. Alot of the people were drawn to save that extra 3%.

I have often wondered about that. Is there any way to do a proper background check for that sale? I'm not anti gun or pro gun, it should just be legal and above board, but I'm quite sure there are a lot of gun sales that go on unreported outside of the gun show.
