Good restaurant, but again, another food chain. At least now there are so many chains in Tulsa that we have some variety of food in general.

This is an old news release (Aug. 4, 2006).. and speculated long before...
What we still don't know is:  "Where in Tulsa"
I assumed the new Tulsa Hills shopping center would be a location... But would their be a Chili's and and Ruby Tues?
Maybe the new 121st n 75 walmart?
A few pad spots @ 21st n Yale..
71st n Mingo?

I'd just like to know why there are Ruby Tuesday restaurants in 42 of the 50 states, yet there are none in Oklahoma...

I'm glad we're getting five.  The Dallas metro only has three, and Houston has two.  We'll have as many in Tulsa as there are in the whole of Texas! [^]

Ughh....I friggen hate Ruby Tuesday. Driving cross country last year my wife and I stopped at Ruby Tuesday in 3 different states. Each one was terrible. 3 strikes and you're out.

I agree, bad location and I didn't even know there was a place there. That spot is really for picking up traffic going through tulsa, not locals.

Guess the location at 31st & Memorial is great for some and bad for others.  Easy to access that area with little traffic is the biggest plus, and it is close to me so I like that.

Don't have to negotiate a trip to South Tulsa just to get another flavor of food.

Jamil's is still my all time favorite for flavor, quantitiy, and price.  $9.95 is a very good deal today for a thick juicy grilled Steak, Baked Potato, Salad, Relish Plate, Four kinds of bread, Humus, Taboli, Smoked Ribs and Balagona, sour cream, butter and a cabbage roll.

Have not found that price and menu any where else other than a cookie cutter all you can stand steak house where the flavor and quality of food is lacking.

Well, its not really a bad location since they have several hotels there. I am sure they will do fine.

Another bland restaurant with bland food.  RT's is almost as bad as Applebee's or O'Charley's.

Right off of the interstate. Not everyone (like yourself) flees to the far corner of the area to avoid minorities.

And Ruby Tuesday's is horrible. The only thing they have going for them is a decent corporate hamburger.

I wouldn't mind White Castle. It's like dinner + entertainment.

Screw all that, I want a Boston Market here.

They have them in Dallas, and now I really miss them.  [:(]

I heard they are trying to buy a lot up by the Bass Pro in BA. Maybe they're trying to upgrade their image? [}:)]

Not long ago, made what should be a 5 hour trip in just under 8, landed after having no meals and them losing my luggage. I found a White Castle, pulled up to the drive through, and they said "we have a special on a 10-pack" and it was the best news I heard all day.

Anytime there's a movie (with Neil Patrick Harris) whose whole plot is going to white castle, there has to be something to it. I wouldn't eat it every day, but I would like to have the chance to go there occasionally.

For some reason it does feel good to get a chain we dont already have.  I suppose it is the "they have it, so I want one" thing.

Anywho:

pass on the Boston market

never been to a Ruby Tuesdays

we NEED a Taco Johns

and I try to go to the local places anyway.  Not because Im a snob, but because I like unique things.  Rons, Ty's, Rio Verde, #1 Kitchen... good food, good times.

Ruby Tuesday's is nothing special.

White Castle's whole shtick is cheap, plentiful and open late (24hrs i think)

Weinersnitzel is okay

Since this kinda got off topic from Ruby Tuesdays, I just wanted to annouce that the Charlotte area (Monroe, NC) got its first Taco Bueno .... the first one to locate outside of TX, OK, KS, NE, AR, MO.  Went there last Saturday .... it was just as good as ever.  They are opening about a dozen more in the Charlotte area.  That's one I can now take off my must-eat list when coming home to Tulsa.

I would love to have 4 coneys with cheese and onions from Coney Island. I have yet to find someplace that makes them like they do. "Since 1923 We haven't changed a bite"

I have been thinking about coming to Tulsa to see the time capsule opened, my first stop after leaving the airport would be Coney Island.

On the subject of Ruby Tuesday's it's ok food a few of the malls here have them in the mall. It's good to see places from Tulsa and Oklahoma in general opening in other parts of the country. When Quik Trip came to Phoenix and started opening up stores I almost wept with joy.

Anybody want to trade some food? I'll send you In-N-Out burgers for a dozen coney's with cheese and onions![}:)]

Guido - YES, yes it is.

In fact, college students know and love Taco John's for their "six pack and a pound."  6 Tacos and a pound of Potato Ole' goodness.  Oh how I crave the greeeazy spiced salty mass.

Ruby Tuesday is terrible highway food.  It is no reflection on the status of a city that there are no Ruby Tuesdays there.  It's like Steak and Ale, but with club sandwiches.  Nasty.
