Title: Riverside and Lawton
Post by: cks511 on March 19, 2007, 05:15:20 PM
Do any of you know what's cooking at Lawton and Riverside?  Today, they started digging and eliminating the tree(s) and it's fenced off.

Please tell me not another law office.

Thanks and sorry if I missed it somewhere else on here.

Apparently it's a part of this

Centennial Walk - River Extension
Tulsa - Parks/Gardens
The Arkansas River extension will provide an extension of the current Centennial Walk route from the new arena site along Denver, to the new Central Library site and then to the new city property at the east edge of the historic Cyrus Avery Memorial Route 66 (11th Street) Bridge.

I walked down to the corner and asked the foreman what was going on and he said it was a bridge over SW Blvd. So, it's the property at the east edge of the old 11th street bridge.

Whoopee, and I was thinking maybe a grocery store?  LOL
