Let me try a different approach. I am looking for the family of the former owner (now deceased) of Colonial Furniture Company. It was located on South Harvard between 17th and 21st. The owners name was Mr. J.C.Jones. I have done exhaustive searches and posted everywhere I can think to post on Tulsa boards for the last 2 years. My goal is to find family members of Mr. Jones or former employees that may have old photos to share. Colonial Furniture was originally located on Cherry Street in the Colonial building. I do not know if the business name reflected that building or vice versa. It eventually moved to the location on Harvard before Mr. Jones retired and the store closed. After that a hardware store moved into the building that I understand is also now closed. An exact address of that building would go a long way in helping me. My father worked for Mr. Jones for 30 years.
Thanks
Russell
1724 S. Harvard -- It was an Ace Hardware until recently. Great store. Too bad it went out of business.

You are my new hero[:D]
You are welcome!
Wasn't it a True Value? The one across from Lanier, that they were talking about tearing down for a car wash? Or is this another building?
The building is/was called "Alhambra" if I remember correctly. The name was above the front doors.
And yes, it was a True Value, not Ace.
Last I checked, True Value WAS ace hardware. It was at the 51st store anyway. Just like westlake is.
Don't look the same to me:

Ace is the place with your helpful hardware man. With TrueValue you Start right. Start here.
Maybe some are combo stores, but I think that one was just a plain ole True Value.
