Now, that's a good myth.  Personally, I get my distillery parts from there.  I make the mash from deer bait from Atwoods. [}:)]

Yeah, and the comments are more about whether or not to call Oklahoma "South".

And that is quite the conundrum...What ARE we anyway??? Mid-south is one I've heard recently. Seems to define us pretty well. But I dunno...

Could have something to do with the Downtown Home Depot location.  I have seen the clerks check ID of people purchasing spray paint at that location.

That store is located on the trail to Tent City and other areas where transients migrate from the railway and other sources of social services that accommodate the hobo lifestyle.

The hobos were there long before most of the businesses arrived.

Not saying hobos in general are bad people or  Meth Lab operators, just that there is an extreme mix of people on different levels of the food chain living and or hanging around in that area.  One does not encounter that broad of a mix in say the store in a subburb area of the City.

Higher quality Meth Lab operators making purchases in a store in South Tulsa would not draw as much attention as a leather skin type person in shabby clothing that has not been washed in several weeks doing the same thing.

Oklahoma is hard to define.  its a weird mishmash of southern, midwestern and western.  One thing for certain is that there's a world of difference b/w McCurtain and Cimarron Counties.

I think mid-south is an apt description.

That's not saying much. At my Wal-Mart, you get ID'ed if you buy certain spray paints, crazy glue's, medications such as some sleep aids, certain energy drinks, diet pills, etc. At one point, we had to ID for people buying aerosol whipped cream topping and that was because kids kept coming in and buying a bunch of these to "huff" to get high off of them. They are put on buy restrictions for a little while then taken off so one day you may be ID'ed for it and another day, you may not...

It prompts to check for ID if you buy any fuel additives as well. I shudder to think what that tastes like.
