Title: Read anything about the proposed Bush budget?
Post by: waterboy on February 21, 2007, 10:43:29 AM
Apparently the press thinks Brittany is more important. Read this for some fun http://www.alternet.org/story/48278

Yeah, yeah, I know its just the liberal, pot smoking, hippie left over ramblings of the Rolling Stone. But if even part of it is true you Bushies have some 'splainin to do!

And the Democratic Congress will eviscerate the budget, and rightfully so.

Could you please repost a link to a story that isn't merely an argument from outrage about how evil the Waltons and Nordstroms are...it's hard to take anything that looks as if it was written by a high school student seriously.

Keeping in step with tax cuts that have us eliminating the federal deficit within 5 years seems to working just fine for me...

Try. The reason I posted it is to encourage discussion of a budget that flew right under the radar and proposed major tax cuts for small groups of corporate billionaires. Its a nasty way to balance the budget and something that needs to be discussed.

Why are tax cuts a nasty way to balance the budget, other than oversensationalizing them like this story did?

Are you so jealous of the success of a few that you'd rather just sock it to 'em?

The top 1% already pay the majority of the taxes, and the bottom 75% pay virtually nothing.  How much will be enough for you?  When you punish companies like Wal-mart and Nordstroms for their success they just take parts of their business out of the country to avoid the taxation, and with them go many, many jobs.
