Firefighters have knocked down a blaze at the old Union Depot, which houses the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra offices and is slated to become the new home of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.
Flames and smoke reportedly were coming from the roof of the building at First Street and Cincinnati Avenue when the fire was reported about 7:35 p.m. Part of the roof collapsed, but the extent of damage to the interior was not immediately known.
Firefighters said the wood trusses around a heating system on the roof had caught fire. They had the fire extinguished by shortly before 8 p.m.
The building has been undergoing renovations to become the new home of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, and its chief executive officer, Chuck Cissel, has already set up his office there.
The depot is also home to the offices of the recently formed Tulsa Symphony Orchestra.
Here is some further information on the fire from Today's World........

Sounds like Tulsa is very lucky - it could have been much worse. Hopefully this won't set the opening back too much.
