Neat tho, wonder how much it'll cost. Or if it'll be monthly equipment like a reciever box, just with about 20x the risk of you either damaging it or having it stolen, then owing hundreds of dollars for lost equipment.
IP-based TV will appear on handhelds well before this does. Cable and Satellite are both possible losers to IPTV, except Cable allows for IP-TV over their existing infrastructure.

Its funny I was thinking about the brick cellphone when I posted that... I dont think it will remain suitcase-sized if the demand catches on, though (think XM radio).
I have my doubts that everyone will be satisfied watching TV 0n a 2" screen even if it does fit into your pocket (although it will have it's uses) and have similar reservations that we would limit ourselves to just one form/source of delivery. All-in-one packages (phone, TV and Internet) from Cox or AT&T sound tempting but I know people right now desperately trying to get out of their contracts.

no there is no splitting hairs. With ATT you sign a contract that has specific penalties if you withdraw (ie termination fees). During that contract your rates are fixed. There is no contract with cox, which means they can change rates and terms at will (and oh they do, internet just went up $2 for me.)
ToS != contract.
