Generally speaking, I thought they sucked for the most part. I recall laughing at a bud lite commercial with immigrants who pretended they knew not what was being said. I did sense the pathetic overtones of a war era generated by a society lacking creativity....

I think Prince was awesome! Especially, in light of the rain....Prince and the Florida A&M Band:
Lets Go Crazy
Proud Mary
All Along the Watchtower>
The Best of You
Purple Rain

no rasberry beret. no little red corvette. no pussy control. no darling nikki.

However:

I give props to Prince's suit. His guitars.

AND I give major props to the production company that put this thing on. Please, someone, tell me , how can you put on an electric rock n roll show in the driving rain. Seriously. I've attended many festivals and I know how all that nonsense goes down and it is impressive that the band played on without getting electrocuted!

So far the best advertising for the money still goes to Turner, even at a $2M price tag...

I thought the Coke ads were effective from an advertising perspective. Classy, thoughtful, entertaining and used really good animation.

Prince was great. Did anyone notice the silhouette portrayed when he went behind the huge sheet? His iconic guitar had a familiar shape to it. Where have I seen that image....[:O][:O]

It got a lot of snickers when we were watching at work.  It's (the artist known this week as) Prince; who was expecting family entertainment?

I was really shocked at the amount of violence. It wasn't even funny. The new 'high five' commercial and the guy who threw a rock while playing rock, scissors, paper. Not funny. My personal favorite was the one produced for $12 by the 20-year-olds.

I thought the best superbowl commercial this year was the one where the old lady drives up to the Wendys drive thru and screams"WHERES THE BEEF"!

I thought the comb over beard & karate class for Sierra Mist
were funny as well as the Bud Light classroom.
Did anyone find the GM Robot commercial disturbingly sad?

Yeah, downfall of the auto worker leading them to commit suicide. Not exactly their best work.
