Title: FREE FIREWOOD
Post by: AMP on January 24, 2007, 06:54:56 PM
We finally found the location of the Green something recycle station.

It is East of the H&L Tooth plant across from Facet Industries on 56th Street North about 1/4 mile East of Mingo.  From I-169 go West about 1/4 mile.  Station is on the North side of 56th Street North. I never understood why in Tulsa streets were not called 61st Street South and 61st Street North, just the North is designated.  Reminds me of the bridge coming from West Tulsa that did not allow for traffic to go South on Riverside drive.

The recycle place is on the same property as the Waste Water Treatment facility.

If you plan on going there with chain saws, better wear old clothes and bring along a clothes pin for your nose. LOL  It is way stinky there even an hour ago at night in the cold.

Up side is all the wood is FREE!

Happy FREE FIREWOODcutting.

Best Kept Secret Once Again

I found it on one of the TV News web sites, but they had no clue where it was.  Just 56th Street North.  Long street...

I should of asked here first. We called all four TV stations, two of them knew it was on 56th Street North, but no hundred block.

City of Tulsa had zero clue.

County didn't have a clue, but said they would have someone call.

We drove around for about 20 minutes looking for the place.  They have a small sign that is not lit at night.  We finally found it tonight after driving from I-75 heading East until we crossed Mingo.

My office can find most answers to environmental questions and our website has a directory of every recycling group we know in the area.

Here is a link to the directory...

Well, AMP you didn't call my newsroom because I gave a couple of people the address and exact directions just yesterday (Wednesday).
