Title: Snow Day
Post by: Porky on December 01, 2006, 08:25:57 AM
Am I the only one that didn't go to work today because of the snow?

I figure in about 2 hours it'll be safe for me to drive to the Casino. [}:)]

My office declared "all non essential personnel, stay home."

I heard MCI/Worldcom/Verizon has been closed for two days.

I called work (Best Buy @ skelly drive) to tell them that I might be running late because the parking lot of my apartment complex was a sheet of ice and two cars were stuck in the middle of it with no traction.

They said only six people will beable to make it to work. I can't make it in either, and they'll probably close for the day.

One benefit (or is it really?) of living close to work means that getting to work in the snow isn't so hazardous.  4 of our 7 employees are here today, and we all live within three miles....the other three are suburb dwellers.  But don't think I didn't consider staying home. :)  Especially when the snow drifts outside my door went well up onto my shins...
