I've been reading recently about shirataki (AKA konjac) noodles, which are supposed to be almost all fiber and almost no calories. So far, I have only found one place in Tulsa that sells them, and they keep running out. I suspect that Asian food markets may carry them, but I'm not sure. Does anybody know any places in Tulsa that sell shirataki noodles? Incidentally, to avoid any confusion, I am talking about NOODLES, not the mushrooms that have a similar name. Thanks!

There was an article in the paper today...Part of the feature was Ri Le....He was purchasing items from an asian market...I can't remember the name of the market and my paper made outside already...

Breadburner, thanks for telling me about the Tulsa World article. It had a list of Asian markets that I guess I'll start calling.
TulsaMini, yes, HouseFoods is the brand that I have been buying, and I would buy lots more if I could find them. Actually, I would like to find the MiracleNoodle brand, if they are sold in stores, but the HouseFoods shirataki is fine.
I have had to experiment to find an edible recipe. You definitely want to rinse it well to get rid of the funny [xx(] smell, and you have to cut it into small pieces to make it easier to swallow. My favorite recipe so far is to boil (or fry) it with chicken breast chunks and mixed vegetables, and then season it with Mrs. Dash. The result is an attractive-looking and tasty Chicken Vegetable Shirataki soup/pasta/whatever.[:)]
An added attraction for me is that it fits right in with my religious beliefs as a member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Pastafarians Rule![8D]
