Jack Murtha is kicking our butts on this Iraq quagmire and we don't have any time to waste. No, I'm not talking about saving American lives, I'm talking about something REALLY important...politics. I know, I know--the "cowardly cut-and-runner" metric seemed like a sure-fire winner. And if it weren't for those pesky American voters, I would've gotten away with it, too.
That was then, and I'm still way smarter that you. Henceforth, Murtha is a "crook", pass it on (//%22http://www.batesline.com/archives/002886.html%22). I know that it was 1978 and Murtha turned down the bribes. And I haven't forgotten that many of us Republicans are just one Congressional inquiry away from an orange jumpsuit...but this'll work. There is ABSOLUTELY no way this can backfire. Trust me--I'm 'Bush's Brain'.
