Unlike Ebay, Tulsa Has It is an auction site specifically designed for Tulsa residents. Our auctions are different from ebay or any other online auction site. Users must fund their accounts via Stormpay or Paypal, before listing an auction or bidding on an auction to prevent buyer fraud. What does this mean? Dont you hate when a buyer has the winning bid and they dont agree to pay? Well with Tulsa Has It, you dont have to worry about that anymore. So visit us today. Get registered, get listed, get paid!

I enjoy the banner: "Get You Item Listed Today"
Not a single item listed. I'm thinking spam.
Yeah I just finished the site today, and yes It needs members.

ahh.. you might try posting on craigslist too.
Well you responded and speak english, so I'll assume you're a human. [:D]
Be sure to advertise around the city (aka get yourself on the news in some way). There were a few great companies I never would have recognized if it weren't for the fact that I saw them on KTUL/KOTV/etc. Besides, your company has potential since it stands out. It would certainly be unique for Tulsa to have its own auction website.
Yeah I'm working on an ad to run in the business and services section in the tulsaworld. Also I'm creating flyers to post at the admiral fleamarket, I should get lots of hits from there considering theres a couple hundred booths that have thousands of products. Thanks though for everyones response so far.
Site is currently down for database repair. Should be back up tonight.
Just added several new categories and an attractive intro. New slogan "Who has it?" "www.tulsa.has.it"
Just being honest, the intro is not attractive to me. I don't think people go to an auction site wanting snazzy flashplayer intros with background music. Also, are you even from Tulsa? Why not get your own real domain name and host locally? It's not that expensive. Start with a cheap plan and upgrade if the site grows. Just my two cents.

I agree. I listen to my own tunes while I surf and any site that makes noise (especially LOUD noise) doesn't get revisited by me.

Couldn't agree more. If you want repeat visitors, get rid of that annoying flash intro and music that continues to play in the background. People aren't impressed by fancy-dancy flash intros where you have to hit "skip intro" to enter the site, and when the music CONTINUES to play in the background (even) after you've entered the site you've doubly turned people off. Take some tips from successful sites such as ebay and incorporate the best from those sites into your own. Best of luck to you.
Agreed, intro has to go! Thanks for all of your replies. I have a backend domain that im waiting on too so for now this is it.
I will use one of my dot com domains for the site, and change hosting to my godaddy hosting account. the www.tulsa.has.it will still be in affect but the dot com domain will be www.anewz.com. The site will be called Auction Newz!

Now, that's MUCH nicer, in my opinion. In fact, I'd call that a real nice lookin' site. Much more appealing. Much more professional looking, too.
Hey thanks, also tell your friend from turkey that those pictures he took are awesome. I would love to visit someday.

Thanks, I'll tell him. He is an excellent photographer. I agree about Turkey, I'd like to visit some day, too. I had a friend in grad school from Turkey and he had a lot of interesting stories about the culture there.
Mucho Better! It's good that you can take constructive criticism.
Speaking of Turkey. I don't think most people know how stunningly beautiful Turkey is. Someone from work sent me a slideshow about a certain part of Turkey where there is a large area of salt or lime stone baths that looks like something out of a fantasy. If I can find the slideshow I'll post it on a hosting site for everyone to see. Turkey also has a wonderful variety of terrain and weather. I've never been there but would like to visit someday.
I thought it might be an interesting concept - but nothing is there....
Well, everything has to start somewhere. The question is whether iviyst is willing to put the time and work into it to get it off the ground.
Agree, but I meant NOTHING is there. Both links refer to pages for the hoster, not the auction site, ie, the auction site has been removed.

Oh. Okay. I though ya just meant that no one had put anything up. I registered just because I think it's a good idea. Looks like that was a pretty short lived endeavor.
